"Golden Week" in Japan. Avoid to visit or not?

ゴールデンウィークはお勧めか?お勧めじゃないか?

Golden week
Days from the end of April to the first week of May is called "Golden Week" in Japanese. The reason we call it "golden" is because it is the longest vacation period of the year for most Japanese employees. Many Japanese companies get about a week off because there are four national holidays within these weeks.

fresh green leaves are fasinating in this season.
During this week, numerous Japanese make trips. So.... if you are thinking of visiting Japan, I suggest you to avoid this season to come over.Travel expenses like hotel room charge and flight ticket price get so high during this season. Before that, you may find so hard to book hotels and transportation. Additionally you will see the huge crowd everywhere.

On the other hand, this season is also the best season to enjoy Japanese natures.Greens get so lush and you will see a lot of kinds of flowers in bloom.

April 29: Showa Day
It was a national holiday yesterday. April 29th is Showa Day.
This date was Emperor Showa's birthday. After he past away in 1989, we celebrated this date as a national holiday called Greenery  Day because he was a biologist who appreciated nature much.
We have another holiday which is some Emperor's birthday. November 3rd used to be Emperor Meiji's birthday and was made to be a holiday which is called Culture day.
May 3: Constitution Memorial Day
Japanese current consitution built postwar became effective on May 3rd 1974. We celebrate this date as a holiday. Please refre to my previous post.
May 4: Greenery Day
In 2007 April 29th was changed to Showa Day and now May 4th is Green Day.
May 5: Children’s Day
As opposed to "the girl's festival" which is celebrated on March 3rd, May 5th is "the boy's festival". I will introduce this holiday other day.
