ネパールフェスティバル＠代々木公園
Nepal Festival
In summer we have a lot of "natsu fes" in Japan recently. It is not traditional festivals but kind of outdoor concerts or music lives. Young people like to join them. In my case.... I have no energy left ... But I like "international festival" held in Yoyogi park of Tokyo. They regularly hold events that you can enjoy eating specific countries' or foreign areas' foods and cultural things.They had a Nepal Festival event in Tokyo on Aug 6th and 7th. http://www.nepalfestivaljapan.com/ja
It was a pretty hot melting day but a lot of Nepalese and Japanese who is fond of Nepal got together in the park. I think I saw more Nepalese than Japanese. I was impressed Nepalese girls and ladies in pretty dresses.

There were a lot of Nepalese food stalls stood there. Nepalese or Indian restaurants held them.
My friend and I picked up one stall where an uncle was standing out because he was trying to sell beer so hard. Since I returned from Nepal one week ago, I feel their price pretty high. lol
Indeed 500 yen is not expensive to this dish in Japan...
By the way the uncle noticed my T-shirt saying Dalhbat Power 24 hours!

Dance, music and looong-compliments from Nepalease
There is a stage in this park and a traditional Nepalease dance and music were performed there. I heared upbeat tunes like rap on the second night.
Japan established diplomatic relations with Nepal sixteen years ago. Then this year the event celebrated our diplomatic relationship. And I saw some Nepalese gave their looooong compliments to Japanese people and Japanese government. It was pretty long lol
Less handcraft shops
BTW There were many stalls other than restaurants' but most of them were money transforming services. I expected Nepalese handcrafts, fabric and felt stuff but only two were standing. I hope more shops to join in the event next year! Ah... shallI hold my own stall there?!
ネパールフェスティバル
最近日本では、”夏フェス”というものが夏にはたくさん開催されます。いわゆる伝統のお祭りではなく、野外のコンサートやライブです。若い人は好きですよね。私の場合、そういったエネルギーは残っていません。。でも、東京の代々木公園で開催される国際フェスティバルは好きです。この公園では定期的に特定の国や海外地域の食べ物や文化を楽しむことができるイベントを開いています。
8月6日7日には、ネパールフェスティバルがありました。
すっごい暑い日でしたが、大勢のネパール人やネパールファンの日本人が集まってました。ネパール人の方が多かったかも。ネパールの女性陣が素敵な恰好をしていたのが印象的
食べ物
ネパール料理の屋台がたくさん出ていました。みんな日本にいるネパールレストランやインドレストランが出してました。私と友達は、ビールを必死に売ってるおじさんのいたお店をえらびました。わたしはネパールから帰国したばかりだったので、なんだか500円でも高く感じてしましたね・・。
このお料理に500円なら日本じゃ高くないんだけどね。
ちなみに、おじさんわたしのTシャツに気づいてくれました！
ダンスやら歌やら、長い賛辞やら
会場にはステージがあり、ネパールの伝統舞踊や音楽が模様されていました。二日目の夜はノリノリのラップみたいなのもやってた。ちなみにネパールと日本は国交樹立60年だそうです。それでこのフェスではお祝いもしてました。ネパールの方たちが日本に対して、ながーい賛辞を述べてました。すっごいながかった。
